Cardiff celebrated their hugely successful season with a presentation of their three trophy haul by Glamorgan 1st XI Coach Matthew Mott at the SWALEC Stadium.
The Welsh based MCCU celebrated their MCCU Championship, Challenge Final and BUCS victories with a presentation ahead of a Glamorgan fixture against Essex in Cardiff.
Captain Adam Harrison, Coach Kevin Lyons and UWIC Cricket Manager Graham Haines were presented with the three trophy's by Mott - who was joined by two scheme graduates, Mark Pettini of Essex and Will Owen of Glamorgan.
Lyons expressed his delight at the side's success, but stressed the importance of other factors which influence the scheme.
"Naturally I am pleased with the results." said Lyons.
"But the main objective of the scheme is to help players develop and improve their all round character in order that they create an opportunity to play at first-class level, and realise how important that constant hard work, and the ability to learn from playing experience, will be major factors in their personal development."
Cardiff MCCU enjoys a close relationship with Glamorgan CCC, with players including Owen, Chris Ashling and Alex Jones graduating into the county game.
Glamorgan Academy players also regularly choose Cardiff MCCU to progress their cricket and stay close to the county set-up.
